In unfinished basements or garages with open trusses, we run our romex wires along the framing contour. Here you can see we followed the truss framing to the light and used the truss strongback to get to the next light opening. In this way, you can not see the wires so easily and it looks very clean. This also helps the other tradesmen when they need to run their air ducts or plumbing pipes and such.
