 This major remodel by Konstructiv Homes started out as a '60's era three bedroom rambler with a detached garage in Ham Lake, MN. The project was started in the middle of winter, Konstructiv had to remove the roof to install the new walls and roof where the structure was to be made wider, they built a false ceiling out of 2" foam board prior to demolition and the homeowners were able to live in their home while Konstructiv built the new addition over them. The homeowners took a week long vacation and we then were able to finish interior framing, mechanicals and get it insulated & cleaned up before they came back from vacation. The underground service lines were buried where the garage addition was to be built, we had to locate and expose the service lines to run them to the new 200 amp service. The existing 100 amp service became a sub-panel. The new kitchen and dining room is where the old kitchen and living room were, a great room, laundry, mud room, half bath, pantry, garage and front porch were added along with an exercise room in the basement.

 Here is the first phase of a commercial job we did. Metro Utilities aquired a piece of property in Elk River, MN that had a building on it that they moved to. The building just had a few receptacles at the electrical panel area and two spotlilghts to illuminate the inside of the building. We installed low bay fixtures for general illumination with a set of keyless openings along the center of the building to light it as they wait for the low bays to come to full power. We mounted security lights outside, a yard light in the front of the building and two motion detecting fixtures in the back of the building. Set up receptacles for the work bench area and installed receptacles and another yard light on a pole for their fuel barrels. Phase two is to wire an office, bathroom, mechanical area and more receptacles for the shop area, welders, air compressor and whatever else they will need. (Since this project was originally posted, phase two has been completed.)

 This barn was built as part of Lucky's Place Animal Rescue and Adoption Facility in Sauk Rapids, MN. This is the first complete new agricultural building that we have done from the ground up. It is half horse stable and half machinery & hay storage. To get power to the structure, we enlisted the help of an underground boring company. In this way the yard was not disturbed from trenching.

This kitchen was from a remodel of an older farm rambler in Aitkin, MN. We added recess, under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting. Notice the amount of light that the under-cabinet lighting gives the countertops. There also is a commercial grade range/double oven/grill and a commercial exhaust hood. In the base cabinet on the interior wall is a wine refridgerator. The floors, countertops and backsplashes were done in ceramic tile. Not pictured here, we also did an electrical retrofit of the old traditional milking barn. The hay loft area was wired for entertaining, such as parties or barn dances, outdoor lighting and we wired the old milk room for a gardening shed.
